If you have arrived here after completing all the earlier sections related to the CCAT, congratulations for getting this far! I hope you are now much more aware of what kind of questions you can expect in the CCAT.

As I mentioned in an earlier page, one of the big challenges about the CCAT is not so much the difficulty level of the questions, but the intense time pressure. Many of the questions will be quite easy, but out of 50 questions, there will be 4 or 5 questions which will be time sinks and can derail you. To excel in the test, you should learn to recognize these questions, and move quickly forward.

Therefore, you should not go into the test cold. Having a targeted preparation for the test will help you by:

  1. Familiarizing you with exactly what question types are involved, how many types each is asked, and where they appear.
  2. Sharpening your brain by revising basic mathematical, verbal and mental aptitude concepts which you may not have used in a while.
  3. Subjecting you to a similar high stress environment as the actual test.

You should prepare to face the pressure by practicing in conditions which simulate the CCAT.

The best way to do this would be to take a course which has actual practice tests tailored for the CCAT. There are quite a few such courses available, online. Almost all are paid, however. The ones which are free do not contain a full set of 50 timed questions.

I would encourage you to take my (paid) Udemy course. This course has 6 practice simulations, with 50 questions in each test, and each question is approximately 0 to 20% tougher than in the actual CCAT test. At a minimum, you should expect to get the same score in the CCAT as you do on the practice tests. You will probably get a better score in the CCAT.

Use this link to enroll in the practice test course.

If you have any questions on any aspect of the CCAT, including specific problems, do not hesitate to reach out using the comments section below. I will do my best to clarify your doubts.

I wish you all the best in the CCAT. Take care.
